After a successful workshop on the 2014 World Cup, we are now planning another ahead of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, with a view to gaining knowledge about the many sports modalities and the usage of technical terms in different languages.

In preparation for the staging of major sporting events across the country, starting with the FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil 2013, well-known professionals Rodrigo Arnaiz and Patrícia Lopes of ESPN led a workshop on the world of football. Interpreters learned about the rules of the game, its institutions and technical terms used on and off the pitch in five languages.
