                                                                                                                                                        Simultaneous interpreting, also known as
                                                                                                                                                        ‘simultaneous translation’, is a form of
                                                                                                                                                        uninterrupted oral translation performed while a
                                                                                                                                                        speaker is talking. In this process, the
                                                                                                                                                        interpreter listens to the speech in the
                                                                                                                                                        original language and immediately translates it
                                                                                                                                                        into the other language, following the original

                                                                                                                                                        interpreting, equipment is generally used,
                                                                                                                                                        allowing the interpreter to translate live

                                                                                                                                                        Yes, remote simultaneous interpreting (RSI) is
                                                                                                                                                        possible. This service was available before the
                                                                                                                                                        COVID-19 pandemic, and gained significant
                                                                                                                                                        popularity since then. Platforms such as Zoom
                                                                                                                                                        provide 'virtual booths' where simultaneous
                                                                                                                                                        interpreters work as if they were at the event
                                                                                                                                                        in person. Attendees choose their language
                                                                                                                                                        channels onscreen and listen to live
                                                                                                                                                        translations. This option is practical for
                                                                                                                                                        hybrid or fully online events, allowing with
